Formed in 1987, (just after the outdoor pool was covered!), under the name of “Waveney Otters” the club has grown from strength to strength. In 2002 after a 5 month pool closure the clubs name was changed to “Diss Otters Swimming Club”, partly to reflect the new start and partly to avoid confusion with “Waveney Swimming Club”. The club has in excess of 150 members who enjoy being part of a really friendly club. In July 2009, the committee appointed Jamie Rush as Head Coach following Katie Bulls decision to stand down after ten years in the position.
If joining a vibrant and active club, training in a 25 metre pool with nationally qualified coaches and progressive training plan, then please get in touch or drop in on one of the sessions to meet the team – Details of which are on our ‘Contact Us’ page…
Diss Otters Swimming Club aims to be a club for the community working together at all levels and ages to inspire swimmers to reach their full potential.
We aim to achieve this by providing a secure and caring environment where every member is valued and encouraged to work together as a team to achieve their goals.
