Top marks for Diss Otters Masters squad who travelled to Sheffield at the weekend

The British Gas ASA Masters and Senior Age Group Championships at Ponds Forge Sheffield, all swimmers put in great performances despite three days of heavy competition.

Katie Bull 25-29yrs swam only four events on the weekend, achieving a PB in 200m freestyle, 12th place on 100m butterfly, 16th 200m freestyle, 19th 100m IM and 24th 100m freestyle – all swims were on target and hopefully next time all of them will be personnel bests.

Valerie Bull 45-49yrs also only swam four events claiming 7th place in 100m butterfly and 200m IM, then 9th place in a gruelling 800m freestyle and 13th 50m freestyle.

Dina Thornton 45-49yrs broke her 100m butterfly pb and also claimed 5th place in her age group, 5th 800m freestyle, 7th 400m freestyle and 10th 200m freestyle.

Adam Lelean 45-49yrs swam in six events over the weekend, even with a cough and cold hanging around. Some good placing for Adam this year – 5th 1500m freestyle, 6th 800m freestyle, 7th 200m backstroke, 8th 400m IM, 10th 200m freestyle and 12th 400m freestyle.

Sally Lelean 55-59yrs also completed six races over the weekend. 6th 200m IM, 7th 100m breaststroke and 100m freestyle, 9th 50m breaststroke / backstroke and 10th 100m IM.
