Coaching Team

Most of our coaching team have been involved with the club for many years and are made up of dedicated volunteers ultimately coordinated by our Head Coach Jamie Rush. Our coaches are parents and swimmers that are learning the Diss Otters way of teaching and coaching and our main coaches are fully ASA qualified and Advanced DBS checked. Importantly, they all have a passion for Diss Otters and its members.

Whilst studying Jamie took the time to qualify as a Level 1 Coach, Level 2 Teacher and a Gym Instructor to assist his development and up skilled to a post-graduate Diploma in Teaching and looking to progress on to study his Level 3 Coaching qualification. Providing variety and motivation are just two goals Jamie meets regularly during training sessions and his overall input and effort is enjoyed by both swimmers and their parents. Jamie coaches all squad sessions; Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday evening.

Coach / A bit of everything – Adam Lelean

Adam is a swimmer that coaches a bit, not a coach that swims a bit! As a club, we will always be in debt to Adam who works tirelessly for our club and for Norfolk Swimming, whether he is coaching young swimmers or our Masters (adult swimmers), encouraging participation in competitions, managing our databases for records, swimmers times, and contact details, Adam truly is one in a million. Adam coaches our Bronze, Silver, and Masters Squads on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
